I was interested in beauty before I started viewing what beauty influencers would post on their social media on YouTube and Instagram. I liked looking at what people would post to see what they created when doing peoples make up and I liked seeing what was on trend in the beauty industry. One day I was watching videos on YouTube and then came across a video from Jordan Lipscombe of her doing the £20 budget challenge. From then on I have loved watching her videos and became more interested in other Influencers. Here I will talk about 6 of my favourite Beauty Influencers.
NikkieTutorials- Nikkie de Jager
Nikkie de Jager is mostly known as NikkieTutorials. She is a Dutch make up artist and beauty blogger. In 2008 she found her love and passion for beauty specifically make up after watching episodes from MTV's The Hills she loved Lauren Conrad's make up. This passion make her interested in searching up make up tutorials, which then led her to creating her own videos on makeup tutorials. She has worked with Brands such as Too Faced and Ofra and was named as one of the top 'influencers' in 2017 by Forbes magazine.
Stephanie Toms
Steph is from Cornwall, England. She is known for her YouTube channel and Cocochic blog. She first started her blog which she wanted it to be about fashion and her life but slowly turned it towards beauty. Steph was entered in the Face Awards UK with NYX and has worked with brands such as Iconic and Kiko. She loves to be creative and experiment and explores a variety of different looks. While her skills have grown her use of coloured eyeshadows grew too especially the use of greens and blues.
Jordan Lipscombe
Jordan is from Surrey, England. She was the first beauty influencer that I watched on YouTube launching it in 2014, when I was interested in seeing the £20 beauty challenge. She became very popular reaching 100,000 subscribers in about 6 months after posting her first video. She creates a variety of videos on fashion, hair and beauty. Jordan has worked with brands such as NYX, Iconic and The Body Shop as well as fashion brands such as Missguided and ISawItsFirst. Recently Jordan released 3 eyeshadow palettes with Beauty Bay.
Sophdoesnails- Sophie
Sophdoesnails mainly known as Soph is from Surrey, England. She launched her YouTube channel in 2014, which is primarily known for her nail art designs. Soph later released content on beauty hauls and makeup tutorials. She also launched a YouTube channel dedicated for vlogs called Sophdoesvlogs. She has worked with brands such as The Body Shop and Makeup Revolution. By working with Makeup Revolution it allowed her to release content on their social media and released a highlighter palette, 2 eyeshadow palettes and 3 lipsticks.
James Charles
James Charles is from America. He is known for being a makeup artist and model as well as having a YouTube channel which was launched in 2015. He has won the award for best channel in the Beauty category at the 8th Steamy Awards. In 2018 he worked with Morphe Cosmetics releasing his own eyeshadow palette.
Rachel Leary
Rachel is from Surrey, England. She is a beauty influencer with a YouTube channel that launched in 2012 but did not start posting videos until about 2 years later. Her channel is mainly makeup based with tutorials, hauls and reviews. Rachel has worked with brands such as NYX and Beauty Bay as well as fashion brands such as Missguided.
